In 1999 when everyone was working feverishly to bring the next great business model to the Web, CVS/Pharmacy purchased Soma.com (the first online pharmacy) and set out to establish a Web presence of the same quality that their customers came to expect from their physical locations.
Yomad Co-founder and Lead Web Designer, Nathan Hivick provided template development, and web design support with a team of approximately 65 people during a rapid development cycle and launch.
About the Technology:
One of the features of this website that made CVS/Pharmacy stand out from the competition was the ability for customers to be able to have their prescriptions filled online, then go to the store location nearest to them to pick up the order.
